RTL Fixer – Privacy Policy

RTL Fixer makes Arabic, Hebrew, Persian, Urdu and other right-to-left text display in the correct direction on the websites you use.

What the extension reads

On supported sites (and on sites you turn it on for), RTL Fixer looks at the text on the page and in the text fields you type in. It uses that text only to decide whether each paragraph should be shown right-to-left or left-to-right. This happens entirely in your browser. Page content is never stored, logged or sent anywhere.

When you pick a copy option from the right-click menu, RTL Fixer reads the text you selected and puts a corrected copy on your clipboard. Text you paste into the popup's Clean up text box is handled the same way. This also happens entirely in your browser, and that text is never stored, logged or sent anywhere. RTL Fixer never reads your clipboard.

What the extension stores

All of this is stored only in your browser:

• Your settings: the sites where you paused RTL Fixer or turned it on yourself.
• The date you installed it, used for the 7-day Pro trial.
• A count of how many paragraphs it has fixed, shown in the popup.
• Your Pro license key, if you bought one.

What is sent off your device

Only your license key, when you activate Pro and about once a day after that. It goes to our payment provider, Gumroad (privacy policy), to confirm the key is valid. No page content, browsing history or personal data is sent with it.

When you buy Pro, Gumroad handles the payment under its own privacy policy. We receive your email address and order details from them so we can provide the license and support.

What we don't do

We don't sell or share data, show ads, track you across websites, or use analytics.
